Oriental Fairy

Dresses are getting shorter and shorter, only because leggings are back in and it doesn't look like they'll be going anywhere for the time being. Don't fancy leggings? Shorts would do the trick too!

But when we spotted this paisley print satin-kerchief dress online, it was instant lust for us. Gorgeous boho-like paisley patterning, the universally flattering deep neckline to show a little something off, and the great asymmetrical fairy hem. Pair it up with a cropped jacket, some opaque stockings and oxfords? Immediate chic, we say.

...and then we found a little something ourselves too!

As Asians who are most of the time heavily influenced by fashion and style in the West (especially our Hollywood favourites), fusion is most definitely a favourite of ours. Just like this lovely oriental like piece here, complete with an elastic underbust and adjustable straps. Reminiscent of batik and lovely bright glossy kebaya-like colours, this piece takes it to a whole new level by incorporating pretty paisley prints and the hem of a fairy dress that flutters beautifully with wind, with it. If you're very very petite, this would pass off perfectly as a dress, but if you're not, this would look equally as perfect with a pair of shorts and your highest heels and you'll undoubtedly be the heart of the party.
