We think we might be lifelong fans of the boyfriend shirt. Androgynous yet feminine, you really get the best of both worlds. Jailbird Rock is the latest boyfriend shirt we’ve added to the xoxo.chic repertoire, but what sets this apart is the cute asymmetrical hemline – the front hem is slightly shorter than the back which gives it the chic factor. Slouch it out by just simply pairing it with a pair of shorts and maybe a postman bag. Nautical pieces are love, and this one here is no exception. The bold red and white stripes practically pop, and we adore the cute line of little white buttons that line the middle whilst the small fold at the sleeves add a wee bit more detail to an already striking top. We think of newspaper caps and thick paint brushes and ladders and for some reason, this denim-like boyfriend shirt just immediately comes to mind. We adore the boyfriend shirt like any other girl because it’s so comfortable and so easy to wear. But we never had anything quite like these before, in these awesome vintage-like hues of denim. We love rustic florals. They remind us of good old English-style quaint cottages and beautifully set up tea-parties and the lovely countryside. Which is why we were ecstatic to see these Laura Ashley-esque florals making a grand comeback! So fret not if you feel like you've just about had enough of those common boyfriend shirts. This one here comes with these lovely printed florals, giving it that bohemian hippie look ala Nicole Richie. Clinch it with a belt and skinnies or tie the ends up to show a bit of skin. Waking Up In Vegas

Well, we over here at xoxo.chic love Katy Perry. Not only does the girl have a wicked attitude, she's also got that kitschy, quirky style to boot. Who else do you know would brazenly croon about kissing the same member of the fairer gender or boldly proclaim her support by emblazoning Adam Lambert's name across the back of her cape when she performed on Idol? She's flamboyant, wild; figuratively, a rockstar at what she does and a rising style icon with a fashion line coming up soon. It's no surprise that she's got us hooked ever since she burst onto the scene donning that red and white polka-dotted 60's bustier on her album cover. Not just that, that seems to be the very start of her single-handed bringing back the polka-dot phenomenon. It's retro, it's fun, we're loving it!

We love the boyfriend shirt trend here at xoxo.chic and own a couple too many ourselves but we just absolutely cannot get enough of them. So easy to wear, so easy to pair and oh-so-comfortable. What's even better is that now even boyfriend shirts are making their rounds in the workplace, all around and about uni, in the malls, even in nightspots! When something is so versatile, it's only obvious that we actually really need more of them. We love this specific piece right here, for it's stylish no-nonsense straight lines down the front, giving off a slimmer illusion. First up, checks are so hot right now. It's just got that whole funky, grunge-like extra something to it that the fashion world is embracing right now, us included. Plus, in a boyfy shirt form? Extra brownie points! It spells laidback, relaxed, edgy; with just a tinge of unmistakable femininity, so much so that we thought it absolutely screamed rock chick Peyton Sawyer from One Tree Hill when we first laid eyes on it.
