After the super pretty Olympia and the response we got for toga dresses, we decided to bring in this lovely one for you. This is our favourite piece of the new batch that we have in because of the slinky material, the sexy slimming cut, the cute strap across the back as well as the unique bias creases at the bust area. The best part is that slightly tighter hem provides a more form-fitting cut (Plus, makes it all the easier to dance with in clubs ;)).

Here at xoxo.chic, we are huuuuuge fans of the "boyfriend shirt". Why? It's comfortable, casual and at the same time so awesomely chic. Plus, they go well with anything. We've seen a number of such shirts when we went on our stock hunt but nothing fit our criteria just yet until we saw this one. What sets this apart is that there's actually a nice cutting to this piece rather than the usual staight down cuts. Coming with two pockets at the front, the larger-than-usual collar and its longer length gives the whole shirt a very trench coat-like feel. Tons of attitude, we say!

A trait we adore about this piece is the row of buttons sitting prettily right down the middle of this cropped satin jacket, also known to others as a bolero (we love how it rolls off our tongue nicely when we say it, don't you?). But wait, that's not all. We cannot go without mentioning the lovely mandarin collar and while we've seen tulip hems aplenty on high-waisted skirts, we rarely come across it on jackets like this one here. Simple to wear with just a hook-and-eye closure clasp at the front, this bolero adds just that extra something to an otherwise simple outfit. The two buttons upfront, the Peter Pan sleeves and the puff sleeves just add to the unique traits of this cropped satin jacket. The moment we saw this Forever 21 lookalike at our suppliers, we immediately thought of Amanda in Ugly Betty; the receptionist with the immaculate corporate style - we like! A smart looking white shirt with slight ruching at the sleeves to slightly soften the corporate powerhouse look (Hence, corporate crush, ahem.) with the illusion of a trendy waistcoat thrown over it complete with a non-detachable waist clincher. Why illusion? Because this is actually a two-in-one piece. Ingenious, much? Instead of having to hunt for two perfect pieces to layer, you get two for the price of one now. You can never go wrong with black, but if you want something different, then opt dusty blue.
