After the three of us joined the corporate world, we realized that something was sorely missing. Ruffles? Love 'em. Zippers? Absolutely must have 'em. Comfort? Usually we forego this being girls, but yes please, we say! Multi-occasion? Well, we're shopping opportunists - if it can fit more than one occasion, more power to it. If this was a checklist, then Morning After Dark would hit every criteria. This piece combines the lady-like element of ruffles and the edgy streak of a zipper gracefully to become something that offers us the best of both worlds. If there's one thing that all our years of observing fashion has taught us,  is that you absolutely cannot, and we repeat, cannot go wrong with a basic tank top. (In fact, one-third of xoxo.chic has a wardrobe full of tank tops in various colours.) So, when this particular tank came along, there was no way we could say no. It's your favourite tank top but more. This simple racerback has been updated and glammed up with several strings of rustic silver beads, to give it a whole new look. Why would we protest when we can put on a tank top that looks like it's been accesorized all by itself? It's fashion at its easiest.

The ex-Mrs. Cole is a style icon unlike any other who always looks impeccably dressed but at the same time, still looks like the girl next door. When you have perfection like that, it's hard to imagine why a scoundrel like Ashley Cole would cheat. One out of three of xoxo.chic is an avid Chelsea fan but even she is not on Team Ashley. Instead, it's Team Cheryl all the way. Which is why we've named this gorgeous high-waisted tiered skirt after her. Curve-hugging and flattering, we could not resist the lovely layers that give it a flirty aura that is balanced off nicely with the fashion-statement making zipper for a slightly edgier feel. Pair it with a simple top - be it a tank or tube, and fierce heels to party the night away. This definitely would have Cheryl's stamp of approval.

We saw this from afar when we were prowling through our suppliers' stock and immediately rushed over to get a closer look. The cut-in sleeves and the row of black buttons down the middle, stemming from the chic knotted pussy-bow, give the entire piece that preppy yet corporate look. However, it was the beautiful Laura Ashley-esque prints that adorn the bottom of this dress that sealed the deal for us. You've got the bodice that means business and the bottom that does the flirting sweetly for you. It's like yin and yang that you've got to have. Wear it on a first date, to the movies, or even on casual Fridays with a blazer thrown over it for good measure.

True to its namesake, we can totally imagine Ms. Serena van der Woodsen of the Upper East Side. More than a couple times we have found ourselves lusting over those gorgeous bandeau Herve Leger dresses she dons. Well, this here is our very own bandeau-inspired dress and for only a tiny fraction of what an original would cost (Phew!) Plus, the bold geometric slashes across the bottom make it all the more edgy. This is one of those sinfully sexy dresses that we would totally wear to dance up a storm with. Still need more reason? Tone it down and pair it with a pair of black leggings and you immediately have an outfit for the day!

We here at xoxo.chic absolutely love this gorgeous tank top that comes in four easy-to-match colours. It's the classic tank top with a racerback, but comes with the edgiest ever bead embellishments which adorn the neckline. Simple yet elegant, and can be worn for any occasion under the sun (especially in our hot tropical weather!) Wear it casual to classes or the movies, or even to work with a blazer thrown over. Sweet Caroline

Summery and oh-so saccharine sweet, this uber adorable dress is one of our favourites in the new range. Pinafore-like thick straps, that row of four small white buttons, and a selection of four super awesome possum prints simply tided us over. To top things off, the hem is made at just the right length, not too short that we have to worry about an accidental expose. In addition, to add a little bit of spice to it all, the neckline dips deliciously low for that sensual feminine edge. This is definitely one summer dress that both Baby Spice and Ginger Spice would agree with.
